This Cookie Policy explains how NisonCo Inc. (“we,” “us,” “NisonCo”) uses cookies, pixels, beacons, and similar tracking technologies on nisonco.com (the “Site”). It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and analyze how you interact with the site.
We also use other tracking technologies that work similarly to cookies, including:
- Web beacons / pixels: tiny graphics that let us count visitors or detect when an email is opened
- Local storage: browser-based storage that lets us save information across visits
- Tags and scripts: snippets of code that send data to analytics or marketing providers
- Software development kits (SDKs): code libraries integrated into products and services we use
In this Policy, “cookies” includes all of these.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies to make the Site work (load pages, remember your preferences, manage sessions); understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve content and performance; measure the effectiveness of our content and email marketing; and personalize content and recommendations.
We currently do not run active paid advertising or retargeting campaigns. If we resume such campaigns in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and provide opt-out mechanisms.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
a. Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the Site to function. They cannot be disabled. Examples include cookies that manage your session; remember your cookie consent choices (once we deploy our consent banner); provide security and protect against fraud (Wordfence); and enable basic site functionality and routing.
b. Functional cookies
These improve your experience by remembering choices you’ve made (such as language preference or region). They are not strictly necessary, but disabling them may limit functionality.
c. Analytics cookies
We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our Site so we can improve it.
- Google Analytics 4 — Site usage analytics, audience insights — policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Tag Manager — Tag management for analytics and marketing — policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Search Console — Search performance data (does not set cookies in your browser; queries Google’s data about your search activity) — policies.google.com/privacy
d. Marketing engagement cookies
We use marketing-engagement cookies to measure interactions with our content and emails. We do not currently use advertising-network retargeting cookies.
- ActiveCampaign — Email engagement tracking, lead identification, form submission tracking — activecampaign.com/legal/privacy-policy
If we resume paid advertising (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn) in the future, we will add the relevant cookies and providers to this list at that time.
e. Embedded third-party widgets
- Calendly — Embedded scheduling widget when used for booking calls — calendly.com/privacy
- ActiveCampaign forms — Newsletter signup and contact form embeds — activecampaign.com/legal/privacy-policy
The exact list of providers may change over time. We will update this Policy when material changes are made.
4. Your Choices
You have several ways to control cookies:
a. Cookie consent banner
We are in the process of implementing a cookie consent banner. Once deployed, you will be able to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage preferences when you first visit our Site. You will be able to change your choice at any time by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in our footer (once available) or by clearing your browser’s cookies and revisiting the Site.
b. Browser settings
Most browsers allow you to view cookies stored on your device, block all or specific cookies, delete cookies, or receive a notification before a cookie is set.
For instructions, see your browser’s help documentation:
- Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Firefox: support.mozilla.org/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer
- Safari: support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-sfri11471/mac
- Edge: support.microsoft.com/help/4027947
c. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We are implementing support for the Global Privacy Control browser signal. Once deployed, when GPC is enabled, we will treat it as a request to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
d. Industry opt-outs
You can opt out of advertising cookies from many participating advertising networks via:
- Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA): optout.aboutads.info
- Network Advertising Initiative (NAI): optout.networkadvertising.org
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA): youronlinechoices.com
e. Mobile device controls
On iOS and Android, you can limit ad tracking through device settings.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no universal industry standard for how to respond to DNT. Once we deploy GPC support (described above), we will honor that signal as our universal opt-out mechanism.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top.
